Blog post - On page SEO - Make your post SEO friendly.

SEO (search engine optimization) is the process of change the website design and content in order to help it appear in search engines.

There are two kinds of SEO:
1. On page SEO
2. Off page SEO

On page SEO is the process to redesign your content and your blogging platform's internal setting.
On the other hand off page SEO is one kind of marketing. It includes getting signals/traffic, for example, Back-links.
Today I will discuss all about On Page SEO. On page SEO is also known as "on site SEO". This is a process of optimizing a web page/blog or content. In a blog post on page SEO means to optimize a post URL, Title, meta description, keywords and alt text.When you create a blog or a website you need to let the search engine like Google know that you have a website and request to index or include them in your search results. After that the search engine special software that is called crawler that will visit your website and decide why and which category should be added.

How important is On page SEO?

Every year Google and other popular search engine change their algorithm. And On Page SEO is still very important for any kind of blog or website. This is the first step to get traffic for your blog or website. If you ignore On Page SEO , You never get any kind of ranking position in search engine results. Search engine is not a human. So it cannot read any content like a human. There are some formula and special codes which are recognized by the search engine. So you have to use some formula so that search engines can easily read your content and index your site.

1. URL optimization:

SEO is not only adding meta tags or link building but also it involves a lot more than that. SEO friendly URL is one of them. Many experts believe that optimizing a URL does not play a role and not so important in ranking a website. Although there is no evidence for that. But it always a good decision to use SEO friendly URLs. Search engines always change their algorithm. So it's really hard to say that, is Optimizing URL important or not. So it will be a better decision to optimize your page URL.
You always need to keep your website or blog URL as brief as you can. So try to put your main keywords into your page URLs. But if your blog or website has lots of content in one specific subject. Then you should divide them some category and subcategory and then put them into your page URLs. Always remember that URLs should be easy to read and make it easier for the search engines and visitors to understand it.

In the picture, it indicates an SEO friendly URL. Where you can find some specific part of an URL. The first part is the "Hypertext Transfer Protocol also known as HTTP. This is one of the most common and popular applications which is used by WWW (World Wide Web) to showcase your website or blog on the internet.

Main Domain:
The second part is the domain. A domain name is a specific and individual link in which your website or blog is recognized online by web users. Every domain name on the internet is associated with a unique IP address.

The third part is the Category. For optimizing your website / Blog post URLs you must include your category. Always try to use descriptive and meaningful category names.

Sub category:
When you have only one label or category then the main category is enough. But if you have lots of posts and subcategory then you have to use this part. For example, You have a main category name "Online Earning" and under this category, you have more subcategories like "Blogging" "Photography earning" or "Affiliate Marketing".

Post keyword:
After subcategory, you have to use the main tag or keyword in your post URL. Always try to use a high CPC keyword. You can use the "Google keyword planner" to find your best keyword.

Avoid Stop words: Always try to avoid SEO stop words. Because all the search engine are avoiding those stop words. For example, If you search in Google "What is SEO", Google always took the keyword "SEO" and avoid "What is" then gives you result as this keyword.

Avoid numbers:
If you have been using a number in your blog or website URLs. It can be very harmful to your website rank and for traffic. You not only decrease your site rank but also pulling visitors from your website. Using numeric code can confuse your visitors. So always avoid numbers in the URLs.

2. Title Optimization:

Your post or content title should be easy to read and eye-catching. You can use some stop words but always try to avoid them. It's not harmful to your SEO. Always try to use the main and target keyword in your content title. And it must be human-readable and attractive.

3. Search description:

Search descriptions also very important for your blog or website. The search description summarizes the content of a page. Every search engines show the Search description in search results. So always optimize the search description for better on page SEO.

4. Image optimization:

After that comes Image optimization. It is also very important for your website/blog content. The image always affects your page speed. If your blog or website page speed loading slowly it can pulling visitors and decrease the search engine rank. Always try to optimize your page size.
Always try to compress your blog post image and reduce the size. So that your blog/website page will load fast.
Compress your image without losing the quality You can visit compressjpeg or imagecompressor. Both websites are very good at compressing the image.

5. Header Tags:

The header tags are known as the <h1> tag in HTML. Header tag in HTML is used to indicate or define the header of a document or any section of your article. It includes information related to the title and heading of the related specific content. You must use the main keywords in your header tag.

6. Inbound and Outbound links:

The inbound links also referred to as a backlink or a hyperlink on a third-party web page that points to a web page on your site. "Inbound link" also known as "Internal link".
For example, You write a big post and discuss so many topics/questions and Inbound link helps user to jump to an specific topics or question answer.
On the other hand, Outbound links are the links that are taking the user elsewhere. Outbound links help users redirect you to another specific web page or website. "Outbound link" also known as "External link".
For example, You are writing a post or article and you have a reference about your topics so you can use that reference link in your article.

7. Social media sharing buttons:

Always try to add social media sharing buttons as much as you can. It will help your post sharing probability. Or use at least top social media sharing buttons like Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Linked in, Pinterest and Google plus. It is very important for on page SEO.

8. Engagement (Comments and FAQs):

Give the comment option as much as you can. It will increase your post engagement. Primarily you can give Blogger and Facebook comment options. You can also add the anonymous comment option.

9. Mobile Friendliness:

Use a mobile friendly responsive theme. A responsive theme makes your theme/template mobile friendly and faster.
